Acolyte
Young people entering fifth grade and up are
encouraged to participate in the ministry and worship of the church by serving
on the acolyte team. Robin Tischler
trains and schedules all interested youth to serve as crucifers, torchbearers,
and altar servers. Involvement on this
level helps bring a deeper awareness of what it is we do each Sunday, and the
many ways we serve Jesus in love.
Reader
People of all ages help deliver the good news. One way to do this is to read one of the
lessons or lead the Psalm on Sunday morning.
Help is offered in pronouncing names and understanding the stories so
that the readings are more meaningful to everyone.
Chalice bearer
Anyone sixteen years or older and a member
in good standing is invited to serve the wine during communion. This special ministry gives each of us the
chance to do as Jesus did - serve our neighbors.
Lay Eucharist Visitor
Interested young people may
accompany the LEV teams as they visit shut-ins each Sunday after the worship
services.
Altar Guild
Come learn even more about the special details
of the worship service and help take care of the beautiful gifts that adorn the
altars. The altar guild welcomes young
people interested in serving the Church by helping to care for the brass,
linens, and vestments. Learn what goes
on behind the scenes that helps our worship times be more meaningful.
