Each year young people from around the state gather to share and to learn what it means to follow Jesus, and to experience a full weekend of Christian community. Set apart from the busy lives we lead the rest of the year, this weekend operates on "God's time" and flows from the opening talk about true reality through the closing caution to take one's new understanding (and excitement!) back to the reality of our daily lives.

Similar to a lock-in, Happening is hosted by various churches in the Diocese of South Dakota in either the fall or spring of each year. Youth lead the event, with the support of adults, and share their stories of meeting Jesus and living as Christians in this world. If you are at least 15 years old or a sophomore in high school, or work with youth, you are encouraged to come for this Christian experience, and go forth to share the Good News!
